Starting Salary Range: $150,000 - $172,000 - position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met.

As MISO's IAM Security Architect, you will play a key role in shaping the future of identity and access management across the organization. You'll provide technical expertise in authentication, authorization, access management, privileged access management, identity governance, and IAM modernization for both human and machine identities.

In this role, you will develop and implement a strategic roadmap to modernize IAM technologies and processes, ensuring they align with industry best practices. You'll also collaborate with teams across MISO to streamline and consolidate IAM solutions, retiring outdated technologies to enhance security and efficiency.

This is an exciting opportunity for a cybersecurity professional with a deep understanding of identity security and a passion for building secure, scalable IAM strategies that protect critical organizational assets.

What you'll do as MISO's IAM Security Architect:



  • Design and implement identity-first security strategies, integrating compliance and automation into enterprise systems to enhance security and efficiency.
  • Execute identity management roadmaps, optimize IAM technologies, and ensure alignment with industry best practices and organizational security standards.
  • Partner with IT teams to design, implement, and troubleshoot security technologies, providing expert guidance when no existing solutions are available.
  • Develop clear documentation for identity processes and infrastructure, while effectively articulating complex security concepts to diverse audiences across the organization.


What we are looking for:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
  • 8+ years of related work experience and 3+ years of dedicated experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Strong understanding of identity technologies and concepts, with experience in Microsoft Entra (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions in an IAM system, including certificate lifecycle management (preferred).
  • Proficiency in directories, Single Sign-On (SSO), identity federation, privileged access management, and automated life-cycle management.
  • Familiarity with industry security standards and frameworks.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, GPEN, GWAPT, GCIH, OSCP, CEH, or other GIAC certifications (preferred).


Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
