Washington Trust has an opportunity for an experienced, highly motivated, and energetic professional to join our Wealth Management division as a Middle Office Analyst.

As a Middle Office Analyst, you will provide support to all groups within Wealth Management. This is accomplished by providing outstanding service, and administrative and operational support, to internal and external clients. A successful Middle Office Analyst will ensure internal team partners are compliant with operating policy, documentation procedures and regulatory requirements while ensuring transactions are processed accurately/on time, and exceptions are resolved proactively.

This position interacts with client facing team members, management, third parties and vendors to facilitate daily divisional operations, and represent the Bank in a professional and competent manner. The incumbent will have the ability to initiate and support process improvement activity and help embed a culture of continuous improvement.

This position is hybrid with an anticipated 2 days on-site in Westerly and 3 days remote per week.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Skills, Education



  • This position requires a minimum of 1-3 years' experience in Financial Services or Wealth Management; administrative or operational experience strongly preferred
  • College degree in business related field preferred
  • Strong keyboarding skills; intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Word and Excel skills: Excel and/or Word skills testing required
  • The ability to work closely with business partners and interact with all staff levels. Demonstrated good quality communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong demonstrated knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Experience with Trust transactions and administration preferred
  • Self-thinker able to work through issues and escalate only when appropriate
  • Detail oriented, exceptional organizational skills and the ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy; ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to anticipate issues and aggressively drive initiatives to ensure results
  • Strong research/investigation skills
  • Positive attitude, high energy level and strong work ethic, ability to work in a dynamic environment.
