The Construction Project Coordinator is an integral member of the Econolite Systems team responsible for coordination of ITS and traffic signal construction and maintenance projects primarily located in the Houston area.

DUTIES

  • Provide support to the management team in the coordination and oversight of construction and maintenance projects
  • Oversee maintenance management software data entries for billing of maintenance contracts on time & material basis
  • Prepare project records with labor and equipment hours and inventory utilization details for project billing
  • Prepare project change orders, and work orders / task orders for maintenance activities
  • Obtain pricing from vendors for projects and work orders; prepare associated procurement requisitions;
  • Write project status reports for submission to customers
  • Use Microsoft Project (or similar) to prepare project schedules for presentation to customers, as well as to monitor staffing needs and remaining project working days
  • Obtain material & equipment product datasheets and prepare material submittals for project approval by customers
  • Review construction plans and prepare quantity takeoffs
  • Conduct field reviews as needed for estimating, planning and verification of completed project work
  • Streamline inventory processes for maintenance & construction projects
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project (or equivalent), Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
  • Traffic Signal and Transportation Systems experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Effective oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a cooperative team
  • High customer service orientation

TRAVEL

May include travel within Texas and / or within the US
