Staff Counsel - Junior Pay Grade: 615 Location: Central Office Vacancy Announcement Nature Of The Work Office Environment WC - 8810 Brief Description The purpose of this position is to provide legal support to the Brazos River Authority (BRA). This is accomplished by providing legal input on proposed courses of action, responding to public information act requests, reviewing and drafting contracts, drafting organizational policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable procurement laws, evaluating potential legislation, performing general legal research and drafting memoranda on various legal topics as directed, and assisting the General Counsel with public information accounting, compliance issues, regional water planning group administration, contract and document preparation, and evaluation and intra-organizational task coordination. Additional responsibilities include conducting research, interacting with various departments and the public; and performing any other duties as assigned. Job Requirements

STARTING SALARY RANGE: Min: $69,846 to $90,800 annual salary. This is an exempt position. POSTING DATE: March 14, 2025 Open until filled.
