Empower Communities, Bridge the Digital Divide: Join Us as a Tech Hub Manager at YMCA of Metro Chicago! Under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Community Innovation and Impact and in collaboration with the Bilingual Community Help Desk, the Tech Hub Manager is responsible for developing and providing educational resources, implementing workshops, and managing strategies to ensure equitable access to digital resources, technologies, and opportunities for the communities that our YMCA of Metro Chicago Tech Hubs serve. To assist with bridging the digital divide, the Tech Hub Manager will address disparities in accessibility and affordability to technology and digital literacy skills among the communities. The Tech Hub Manager will work directly with and supervise the team of Digital Navigators and their Tech Hubs throughout Chicago to provide support, host events, and develop workshops and programs for the digital equity portfolio. This role requires a deep understanding of digital inclusion issues, strong management skills, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Salary range starts at $60,000 per year with full-time benefits and opportunities to grow within the organization

Scope of Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive Tech Hub strategies aligned with the goals and objectives of YMCA Metro of Chicago and the communities we serve.
- Identify barriers to digital divide amongst communities
- Assist with data collection and analysis in order to support program impact
- Design and implement programs to increase digital literacy, access to technology, and internet connectivity.
- Coordinate outreach efforts to raise awareness of available resources and programs within the community.
- Partner with local organizations, schools, libraries, and other stakeholders to deliver digital inclusion programs and services.
- Develop and deliver programs to teach digital skills and awareness
- Schedule and plan events/workshops with digital navigators and outline details in Workshop Calendar.
- Adhere to and ensure grant guidelines are met, including reporting and meeting attendance as needed
- Lead monthly Digital Equity Community of Practice meetings and regular one-on-ones with Digital Navigators as needed
- Prepare regular updates to communicate progress and outcomes in Digital Equity COP meetings.
- Assist with outreach and awareness efforts to increase community awareness about Tech Hubs and other resources supporting digital equity.
- Participate in local and regional coalitions focused on advancing digital equity and social justice.
- Identify funding opportunities and secure grants or other sources of funding to support digital inclusion efforts.
- Completion of required trainings including internal YMCA certifications.
Minimum and Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field
Demonstrated experience in digital inclusion, community development, or related fields.
Strong project management skills, including ability to plan, implement, and evaluate complex initiatives.
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of digital technologies, internet infrastructure, and digital literacy best practices.
Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to digital access and equity.
Commitment to social justice and equity, with a passion for addressing disparities in access to technology and information.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working in multicultural or underserved communities.
