GENERAL SUMMARY: The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing general nursing care to patients, treatments to patients, and participates in discharge planning under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This position reports to Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, or Staff RN. PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalency required. Active Nebraska Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required. Must be active and with no disciplinary action on the Nebraska Nurse Aide Registry. One (1) year of hospital experience preferred. OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS: Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required. Bryan Health recognizes American Heart Association (for healthcare professionals), American Red Cross (for healthcare professionals) and the Military Training Network. |
