The successful candidate will come to UC Berkeley under the auspices of Dr. Ranjit Singh Sabharwal Endowed Fund and UC Berkeley's Sikh and Punjabi Studies Initiative. They must already be eligible to work in the United States. Responsibilities include preparing and teaching 3 undergraduate-focused classes focused on the Sikh experience, holding office hours, assigning grades, interacting with students outside of class time, and assisting with Sikh-related programming on campus. Advanced degree (or equivalent international degree). For those who are not US citizens or permanent residents, a legal permit that allows work in the United States (such as a US visa that allows employment) is required by the start date of the position.
