Job Title - Operations & Procurement Expeditor - International

Location - Montgomery, AL, occasional travel required

This role is stationed in the home office, but requires occasional travel both CONUS and OCONUS. This position will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and timely procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies to support our projects all over the world. A solid understanding of supply chain processes, procurement, logistics, and the ability to manage multiple schedules and competing priorities on a regular basis.

What You Will Do



  • Coordinate delivery phase of procurement activities, ensuring timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services needed for construction projects.
  • Work closely with procurement teams and project management teams to determine schedule and critical order of materials needed in conjunction with the project execution schedule.
  • Monitor and track the progress of orders, ensuring that all materials and goods are delivered on time and in good condition to the contractor's consolidation point.
  • Troubleshoot and expedite delayed shipments and address any issues related to supply chain disruptions or delivery delays. Focusing on long lead projections and constant communications to ensure early identification of potential issues.
  • Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and logistics teams to address any procurement-related challenges identified in the procurement or engineering phase, ensuring that project timelines are maintained.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with domestic and international suppliers, ensuring reliable information and on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve any issues with product quality, shipping discrepancies, or procurement documentation.
  • Ensure that all procurement and shipment documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with both internal standards and international regulations.
  • Maintain organized records of orders, shipments, inventory, and supplier communications.
  • Act as a liaison between the procurement, logistics, and operations teams to align project needs with available resources and schedules.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure project timelines, budgets, and specifications are met, while adjusting as necessary due to changing requirements over the course of the lifetime of the project.
  • Support efforts to monitor procurement expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Provide regular status reports on procurement activities, delivery timelines, and any potential delays or issues to the project and management teams.
  • Coordinate ROS (Required On Site) dates with the project team and update on a regular basis to prevent slippage and account for changing site conditions and requirements.


Working Conditions - Office setting, travel to vendors and projects sites required on occasion, full time

Understanding of construction documents and construction contracts. Requires excellent technical and management skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle time-sensitive challenges. Experience with government contracting required. Strong client relations skills are a must. Excellent organizational skills. Strong ability to use Microsoft Office suite. Ability to communicate and work with multinational and multi-disciplined employees. Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing project requirements.

Education / Experience - Minimum high school diploma/GED and five years total experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.

Previous experience working in an international procurement role is highly desirable.
