M&E Supplier Program Analyst

As a key member of the Performance Optimization Consulting team, you will work closely with BCD M&E clients to develop and implement strategies focused on improving their meetings and events supplier programs. Your key responsibilities will involve: crafting and executing strategies to enhance supplier programs, leveraging expertise to support organizational objectives, and setting clients up for sustained success. Your position will require you to utilize your extensive knowledge, strategic thinking, business insight, and analytical skills to support organizational objectives, maximize business outcomes and set our clients up for sustained success.

Your responsibilities

* Understand market trends to help achieve business objectives and goals.

* Quickly become familiar with client business challenges, internal process technology infrastructure and ways of working to understand the environment for optimization.

* Conduct fact-finding activities such as document and data review, interviews, standards and best practice research and surveys.

* Perform a variety of strategy analysis such as gap and alternatives, root cause, data analysis, and scenario modeling that will inform the program strategy.

* Lead client stakeholders through a data-driven, systemic approach that provides education on current trends and approaches, identifies opportunities for process optimization and provides MSA, ESA and/ or addendum recommendations that are mutually beneficial to the client as well as the supplier.

* Prepare written client deliverables such as preliminary findings and recommendations, draft reports, and final reports.

* Travel can be up to 25% annually to client sites.

You're good at

* Building and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers, client stakeholders and their business partners within all levels of the organization.

* Strategic sourcing, negotiation and contracting

* Project management

* Business writing (case studies, white papers etc.)

* Data analytics - building a data story from various sources and developing critical insights that support supplier program goals and objectives.

* Working across a breadth of M&E suppliers (hotel and non-hotel venues, transportation, DMC, AV, production, Congress brokers, etc.) and understanding their business nuances.

* Expressing thoughts and ideas, verbally, in writing and in visual presentations

* Learning technical and complex topics quickly.

* Proficient with the MS Suite and digital whiteboarding tools

You should also have

* A bachelor's degree (minimum)

* 8 or more years' experience in strategic sourcing and contracting in the meetings and events space - multi-national experience is preferred

* Presentation skills - both written and verbal. You have the ability to own the room and convey confidence, knowledge of best practices in events and a professional presence at first impression and on-going.

* Strategic sourcing and contracting within the life science and other regulated industries are a plus.

* CMP or CMM a plus

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of M&E Supplier Program Analyst is between $80,000 - $100,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
