What you'll do:

AmeriHome Mortgage is looking for a Vice President, Non-Agency Business Development Representative to represent AmeriHome's Non-Agency product lines for its national delegated correspondent business. This is a remote optional position, and the candidate must be willing to travel up to meet with clients in their offices and for conferences across the country. This position will work with existing AmeriHome clients, prospects and existing sales team to raise awareness and increase business penetration for AmeriHome's Non-Agency products. The candidate will work in the field, taking hand-offs from internal and external sales, and be the driving force behind client adoption and volume growth. This is a great opportunity for a driven individual to develop a brand for one of the country's largest mortgage companies.
  • Become an expert on AmeriHome's Non-Agency product offerings, processes and technology tools
  • Work with AmeriHome sales representatives to identify Non-Agency opportunity from AmeriHome's existing book of business and prospects
  • Engage clients to ensure they are educated and trained on AmeriHome's Non-Agency product offerings
  • Drive volume by working with existing clients to influence their Non-Agency decisions
  • Work with the Client Support team to ensure new clients are trained and skilled at understanding AmeriHome's Non-Agency delivery processes and technology tools
  • Work with clients to resolve loan level issues and understand the escalation process for loans requiring advanced resources
  • Work with sales, sales support and operations teams to ensure successful client experiences
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets - client activity, funding volume, facilitate new client adds)

What you'll need:

  • 3-5 years work experience in outside/field sales in Wholesale and/or Non-Delegated Correspondent Lending with a proven record and results
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Professional approach to sales, including relationship building, ability to impact and influence decision makers
  • Proven ability to train and coach clients
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the mortgage industry and the various origination channels
  • Expert level knowledge of Non-Agency loan products, specifically Non-QM and Jumbo
  • History of being a proactive and independent self-starter
  • Results and team oriented attitude
  • Solid understanding of mortgage products, regulatory compliance and underwriting guidelines
  • Proven track record of success in developing and nurturing clients
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executives, peers and associates
  • Ability to solve complex issues independently, timely and under pressure
  • Critical thinking with a creative mindset
