UCF HR - Talent Acquisition Center:

In the Talent Acquisition Center our mission is to strategically partner with UCF departments and hiring managers to identify and recruit exceptional individuals who align with the university's values, vision, and goals. The Opportunity:

UCF Talent Acquisition is accepting applications for a Recruiter! The Recruiter is responsible for providing best in class recruitment services to support the programs and initiatives of the university. Partners and collaborates with hiring managers and leadership to develop and implement talent acquisition strategies for staff positions. Under intermittent supervision, oversees development of viable recruiting strategies, management of requisitions, sourcing and attracting candidates, and facilitation of the hiring process in conjunction with the HR Business Center for the unit.

We seek candidates who are passionate about working in higher education and dedicated to providing outstanding service to our internal and external partners. Our team provides customized service to hiring managers at all levels of the university, so excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

Classification title: Recruiting Partner II

Responsibilities:


  • Identify, source, and attract top talent utilizing creative sourcing techniques for both active and passive candidates.

  • Partner and collaborate with hiring managers and staff search committees to identify needs and provide expertise on applicable recruiting strategies, share insights on the current talent market, serve as a liaison between the hiring manager and candidates, and streamline the recruitment process.

  • Screens applications for minimum qualifications and preferred qualifications to identify top talent to forward to the hiring manager for final interviews and assists managers as needed with navigating Workday.

  • Assists in the implementation of university advertising, marketing, and branding strategies to support the institution's goal of becoming an employer of choice.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or combination of relevant comparable education and experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred experience:


  • 2+ years recruitment experience in a complex organization

  • HR experience in higher education or the public sector

  • Demonstrated experience effectively sourcing passive candidates, building talent pools, and utilizing new recruitment processes and technologies

  • Experience working closely with hiring managers as a strategic partner through the recruitment process, including solidifying recruitment strategies, writing job descriptions, establishing selection criteria, and more

  • Experience utilizing social media for recruiting, marketing, or other professional purposes

  • Related HR Certification

  • Able to adjust strategies based on changing needs and trends

  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Able to handle multiple projects at once and prioritize work to meet deadlines

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with regular check-ins

  • Demonstrate a strong capacity for maintaining confidentiality while navigating complex regulatory and procedural environments
