Frontier is looking for a Lessons Learned Analyst.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manages the execution of the USCENTCOM Joint Lessons Learned Program (JLLP)
  • Provides subject matter expertise, training, and instruction in the use of the Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS).
  • Collects, edits, analyzes, and assesses lessons learned and observations collected during USCENTCOM operations and exercises, maintains the USCENTCOM JLLIS, and supports the Issue Resolution Process.
  • Facilitates the viral exchange of observations, lessons, best practices and documentation.
  • Assists in the development, review, and recommendations on strategy, policy, doctrine, and other documents and issues related to the JLLP.
  • Serves as a JLLIS System Administrator for USCENTCOM.
  • Provides technical support which entails identifying system requirements, testing and reporting the results of software updates, and developing tutorial materials.
  • Assists in the production of briefings, memorandums, messages, information papers, position papers, talking points and other supporting documents.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Prior military Experience at the Operational/Strategic level of war, producing high-quality products for General Officer / Flag Officer / Senior Executive Service audiences.
  • Ability to conduct in-depth analysis of exercise and training observations.
  • Skilled in evaluating how observations align with exercise and training objectives, the Command's Campaign Plan, Joint Mission Essential Task List (JMETL) and Lines of Effort (LOE).
  • Proficient in assessing Measures of Performance (MOP) and Measures of Effectiveness (MOE) to support strategic decision-making.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and draw actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of military exercises, Joint and Combined exercise planning, the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) and the Joint Training Toolkit (JTT).
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with experience in qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience in documenting and presenting findings, recommendations, and lessons learned in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, processes, and tools.
  • Familiarity with knowledge management principles and practices, including lessons learned repositories and knowledge sharing platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of project management and lessons learned analysis.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal oversight, and occasionally in austere conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completed Bachelor's Degree
  • Previous Operational/Strategic level of war experience in operations/plans in a Combatant Command HQ or MAJCOM/MACOM HQ.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience, ideally as a Program Analyst.
  • Minimum of three years of experience with Joint and Combined military exercises.
  • Previous experience in project management, business analysis, or knowledge management.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of project management and lessons learned analysis.
  • Ability to travel (approximately 15 - 20%) to the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility in support of the Commanders exercise program.
  • Top Secret Clearance Required - (SCI Eligible).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree preferred.
