This opportunity is in the Account Services department.

Responsible for seeing policies through to the finish line, our Account Services department facilitates the processes between Claims, Underwriting, and our brokers. Ranging from rating services to audits to operational guidance, the available career opportunities are abundant with varying levels of specialty. Maintaining a strong network of team leaders, our department's relationship allows for cross-training opportunities and plenty of collaboration.

Role Description:

As a Business Relationship Manager, you will play a key role in leading efforts to build and manage relationships between the Account Services department and its partners across the organization. Your work will help align business objectives with strategic goals by identifying and communicating business needs, fostering collaboration, and optimizing value through training, process improvements, and system enhancements.

In this role, you will:



  • Serve as a liaison between business units and stakeholders to ensure alignment on business needs for all insurance products.
  • Advocate for strategic plans and facilitate goal-setting with internal and external partners.
  • Lead interdepartmental process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, drive revenue, and reduce costs.
  • Support efforts to achieve superior customer service and foster a client-focused culture.
  • Identify and resolve performance-impacting issues while establishing customer service standards.
  • Develop methods to improve process consistency across policy transactions and mitigate data quality issues.
  • Assist in developing and executing process and system training for Account Services, Insurance Underwriting, and related teams.
  • Partner with Technical Services and IT to align current and future technology with business needs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new systems and applications to meet operational requirements.
  • Manage special projects as assigned.
  • Travel may be required.


Qualifications:

Education:



  • A bachelor's degree is preferred; a master's degree is a plus.
  • Insurance designations such as CPCU, CLCS, AINS, or AIS are a plus.


Required Qualifications:



  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • This position allows for a hybrid work schedule, which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO. All employees are required to submit work-from-home requests and follow our Work From Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview.
  • 5 or more years of Property/Casualty Insurance or financial industry customer operations experience, preferably with a strong background in Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto, and General Liability.
  • 5 or more years of experience in customer operations/client support, including analyzing metrics, identifying opportunities for efficiency, and implementing solutions.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory environments and requirements.
  • Technical proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Excel, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple deliverables concurrently under time constraints in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak confidently in front of business partners and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and ability to orchestrate departmental functions effectively.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative environment.

Compensation:

Safety National is committed to fair, transparent pay, and we strive to provide competitive, market-based compensation. In our vision to be First with Co-Workers, compensation is only one piece of the comprehensive total rewards package we offer. The target base salary range for this position is $86,000 to $112,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
