Volkswagen Group of America's 10 - week Summer Internship Program targets undergraduate students entering their Junior or Senior years who are eager to acquire practical, real-world experience in the automotive industry. Program Information:



  • 10-week Summer Internship Start Date (non-negotiable): June 2, 2025
  • Program Duration: June 2, 2024 - August 8, 2025

Role Summary:

The Connected Services team is responsible for Connected Infotainment and Telematics services and features for the Volkswagen North America Region. This internship position is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable knowledge in this growing space. This is a great experience for an Electrical Engineering student who wants to gain a deeper understanding of Connected Services platform, systems and vehicle integration modules and how they all work together. As well, working for a global automotive company will provide valuable cross functional team working process and structure.

Role Responsibilities:

Some of the things that will be trained on for the summer are:



  • Learn the Connected Services platform, systems and vehicle integration modules and how they all work together.
  • Based on feature set, create test cases on connected features designed to ensure a superior customer experience.
  • Perform Connected Services testing on the mobile app and in-vehicle infotainment testing
  • Troubleshooting and analysis of data for warranty and field issues as it related to offline /connectivity issues.
  • Create execution checklist for vehicle and bench testing
  • Learn how to issue a QA ticket through JIRA and manage the resolution by working with cross functional test teams.

Qualifications

Qualifications:



  • High school diploma/GED
  • Preferred degree in Engineering
  • Data segmentation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively to many different levels within an organization
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
