SOX Human Resources Analyst

ROLE SUMMARY:
The SOX HR Analyst will be part of the HR team and be responsible for partnering with finance on efforts to improving operational efficiency as well as preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly audits of SOX payroll and company compliance processes. The ideal candidate will have and understanding of SOX requirements, internal controls, and have previously worked in finance as an accountant or finance partner. This role be part of the HR Team and will report to the HR PMO Leader.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:


  • Complete the HR Deliverable primarily relating to headcount reporting, headcount forecasting, bonus accruals, and ensuring compliance with relevant SOX controls.
  • Partner and assist in the process & review of bi-weekly payroll for all employees, including special payments such as terminations, bonus and commission payments and leave of absences, etc. as needed.
  • SOX Compliance Support: Assist in the preparation and execution of the annual SOX testing plan. Coordinate with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate completion of control testing and remediation of any deficiencies identified.
  • Participate in documentation and other process improvements, and general continuous improvement activities.
  • Reporting: Maintain clear, comprehensive records of control design, testing, and any process enhancements implemented.
  • Audit HR Data: Audit current HR data and HR Data for M&A purposes
  • Assist with special projects, such as system enhancements, audit HR data integration and cross training initiatives.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • 3+ years of experience in Corporate Financial Organization


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Experience working in Big 4 Accounting Firm (Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance, with integrity in the application of standards.
  • Must have experience working in a public company
  • Experience with HRIS systems is preferred
  • Strong Excel skills required (e.g. Pivot Table & VLOOKUP experience) and ability to work with large volumes of transactional data.
