What you'll do

As a performance business partner you will work closely with managers and HRBPs across Docusign executing performance management initiatives and processes to drive accountability, growth and organizational effectiveness. We are looking for someone that is collaborative and embraces the full range of perspectives and experiences of all our employees.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Director, HR Business Partner.

Responsibility

  • Help drive the performance improvement policy and processes for employees and leaders across multiple client groups to ensure an engaged and skilled workforce
  • Understand relevant trends, policies, procedures and practices related to the business, and makes recommendations to proactively address potential risks and opportunities to enhance workforce performance
  • Conduct effective, thorough, and objective performance related discussions with all levels of employees and of varying levels of difficulty and sensitivity
  • Use in-depth understanding of own client groups and Docusign overall to routinely provide effective and timely consultation and advice to internal client group managers/leaders and their teams regarding the performance management processes
  • Coach and build the capabilities of managers to handle performance issues or concerns by designing and facilitating manager training for performance management based on data analysis
  • Ensure strong cross functional and HR COE stakeholder engagement, communication and partnership
  • Administer the involuntary employee exit process for assigned employees as needed
  • Maintain the ER file system regarding discipline, corrective action and terminations, etc.
  • Stay current on employment law and employment law trends and provide recommendations for policy or proactive updates accordingly
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Take on stretch assignments and completes them with standard quality

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

Preferred job designations are not guaranteed when changing positions within Docusign. Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law.


What you bring

Basic

  • 5+ years of experience conducting performance management processes, including but not limited to manager/employee coaching, training, verbal/written corrective action initiatives, data analysis, and production of performance documentation
  • 3+ years experience working in an international company with a shared service set up and matrix organization
  • Experience working with HR systems such as Workday or ADP
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, such as law, HR, business, etc.

Preferred

  • Strong coaching, interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters
  • Knowledge of US HR laws and regulations as well as general HR practices and trends
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships in a consulting environment
  • Strong coaching, interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
  • Demonstrated passion for manager coaching and performance management
  • Experience in a high-tech environment
  • Self-starter with project coordination skills, ability to grasp the deliverables, identify key risks, and cooperate with all parties to achieve goals in a fast-changing environment
  • Great communicator team-worker. Comfortable navigating global organization structures aligning objectives with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to solve problems and identify root causes of various HR issues
  • Strong solutions' focus and being comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $101,500.00 - $156,750.00 base salary

Illinois: $97,000.00 - $133,300.00 base salary

Washington: $97,000.00 - $139,525.00 base salary

This role is also eligible for the following:

  • Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
