The Job/What You'll Do:

The Manager, CSN Business Analysis, is responsible for oversight of the Community Support Network (CSN) business analysis team and CSN's data analysis work. The CSN Analysis team is responsible for the documentation of reports and system specifications, process analysis, data analysis, technology system development, implementation, and process improvement. This position will focus on supporting CSN leadership and the community of service providers in Arizona in building a culture of learning, performance evaluation, system improvement, and data-driven decision-making by providing leadership in data analysis, knowledge building, excellent customer service and communication, and a deep understanding of Arizona's social service network.

Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for oversight of the CSN business analyst team; hires, onboards, fires, trains, coaches, and completes performance evaluations.
  • Sets employee goals and objectives, monitors performance, and provides ongoing training and support. Facilitates and coordinates team meetings.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical and programmatic expertise of guidance related to the CSN lines of business including the Homeless Management Information System, 211 Arizona, DWEL-AZ Data Warehouse, and Housing and Health Opportunities departments.
  • Produces and reports outcomes as required by the CoC, HUD, and the Federal Partners. Supports the accurate, on-time completion of Point-in-Time, Longitudinal System Analysis, Housing Inventory Chart, System Performance Measures, and other local and federal reports.
  • Participate in and lead discussions with community stakeholder groups, including homeless continuum of care committees and workgroups, to identify learning objectives, diagram processes, create an analysis plan, design workflows, analyze data, evaluate program performance, and present findings in a way that builds data literacy and understanding Arizona's network of community services and resources.
  • Monitors key system performance measures and makes recommendations/ assists in the implementation of action toward performance improvement.
  • Builds strong partnerships with operations program leadership and community stakeholders, including providing program and administrative guidance on business processes and evaluation related to new and existing programs. Represents the organization on related committees, forums, workgroups, etc.
  • Utilize experience with data and software tools including but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, Alteryx, and Tableau in collaboration with the Business Intelligence developers to troubleshoot and analyze data, create documents, and design visualizations to share findings.
  • With the assistance of CSN leadership, play a key role in program projects and implementations, including overseeing reporting and analysis to ensure that metrics and reporting goals will be met; and ensure compliance to contractual scope of work.
  • Assists in the development, review, and update of relevant policies and procedures, responsible for establishing best-practice business analyst procedures to deliver the highest quality services to community stakeholders.
  • Responsible for preparing and maintaining reports and dashboards requested by stakeholders; this includes the preparation of ad hoc analysis and reporting that enables a strong understanding of the business.
  • Utilizes business intelligence data to aid in program evaluation and decision-making toward operational outcomes; implements action toward performance improvement in collaboration with CSN leadership.
  • Works with staff to develop and improve required reports, evaluate the data collected, and help design solutions for collecting new information. Assist in the design and preparation of funder and internal management reports, including analytical review. Coordinate and assist with ad hoc requests for information.
  • Liaison with Technology Support and Business Intelligence teams to ensure completion of reporting and analysis deliverables; ensure the department stays consistent with industry standards and technological advances

Education & Experience:



  • 1-2 years of data, 3+ years of industry, and 1+ years of leadership experience

    • Supervisory experience preferred. Experience working with data and data analyses. Minimum 3 years of experience with homeless services or community services. Development and implementation experience preferred.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Business, Information Technology, or related field
