The BA Expert will lead/perform research, data analysis, complex statistical modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting in support of business decision making, strategies, operations, product quality assurance, and vendor management. This position will also be involved with cross-functional process improvement, quality control, waste elimination, special projects, and other initiatives. The position can be required to provide support to the Company's Emergency Operations Center or be available to support it. Reporting Relationship This position reports to the Director of AMI Infrastructure in Customer Experience. However, will collaborate and work with cross-functional groups and co-workers from various disciplines in PG&E. Job Responsibilities
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Develops or works with budgets & forecasts. Collaborate with enterprise BPD financial planning organizations and General Rate Case project management teams.
- Business Cases: Lead collaboration with experts and programs to develop business cases in support of future strategies. Quantitative and qualitative assessments along with costs, benefits (hard & soft), risks, and opportunities.
- Business Process Improvement: Performs quality assurance, process improvement, furthering LEAN implementation, waste elimination activities in support of the Company's business. Activities include developing, managing, or refining quality assessments, business & operations processes, LEAN visualization, and implementation, change management, communication, and training.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works with experts and program teams across the Company in various disciplines including but not limited to: Accounting, Finance, Engineers, IT Department, Law, Operations & Maintenance, Regulatory, Strategy, Sourcing, and Third-Party Consultants.
- Data Analysis and Modeling: Compiles and analyzes financial, operational, and technical data. Will develop and/or maintain models for forecasting and other business purposes. Includes using various internal or external data sources such as but is not limited to CC&B, SAP, FAS, Business Objects, Palantir, and other sources. Synthesizes big data and performs complex statistical modeling.
- Field Visits, Work Ride-Along, and Go Sees: Periodically conducts or participates in individual or team field visits to learn about various programs, back-office or field work, recommend efficiency & operational improvement opportunities, and further reduce waste.
- Metrics and Reporting: Develops/tracks metrics and produces quality reports to various audience levels such as senior leaders, program & project teams, and field level co-workers. Uses various mediums such as but is not limited to: Power BI, Word, Power Point, Excel, Vizeo, and other tools.
- Operating Reviews: Facilitate weekly and monthly operating reviews with the leadership team. Documents minutes, action items, and manages tactical implementation plans (TIPS) as necessary.
- Project Management: May lead or support projects, determining scope, budget, timeframes, forming teams, documenting minutes, action items, assigning tasks, managing issues resolution.
- Records Retention: Identify, classify, manage, and maintain critical data, information, and records in alignment with PG&E standards.
- Regulatory: Develops and manages forecasts (financial and non-financial) included in regulatory proceedings such as General Rate Case, Applications, and other filings. Serves as a witness assistant and functional area-lead to coordinate and respond to data requests, facilitate working/review sessions. Partners with Accounting, Finance, Regulatory, Law, Operations to document, implement, track, and manage regulatory and accounting decisions.
- Research: Collaborate with program management and leaders to develop internal and external benchmarks in support of business decisions.
- Senior Leaders: Works with and leverages relationships with leaders across functions and PG&E.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. A reasonable salary range is: Bay Area Minimum: $114,000 Bay Area Maximum: $182,000 Background Qualifications Minimum Required
- BS in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience
- Six (6) years of relevant and job-related experience
