Our Summer Internship Program puts you in the heart of one of the most strategic companies in the world. You will partner with multiple team members, collaborate with different departments, focus on specific projects, which you will support and even lead. Our Program runs for approximately 13 weeks from the end of May to mid-August. Internships are paid and available for those seeking remote, hybrid, and onsite opportunities.

In this role:

We are seeking a Summer Intern to join our Risk Management team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in credit and risk analysis while working alongside industry professionals.

Ideally this role would work Hybrid from our Midvale, Utah WEX Bank location.

What you will be doing:
  • Assist with analytical projects aimed at improving risk management strategies.

  • Support the monitoring of credit risk for commercial credits, analyzing financial data, and identifying key risk indicators.

  • Participate in ad hoc projects, including data analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with team members to assess risk exposure and develop risk mitigation strategies.

  • Prepare presentations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.

Must have for this role:

  • Junior or Senior working towards a Bachelor's Degree in a relatable field.

  • Project or Internship experience ideally assessing financial statements, trend analysis, reviewing cash flow etc.

  • Preferred understanding of the following tools: Smartsheets, salesforce, tableau, google sheets, excel, V-Look-up, etc

  • Curious, process improvement driven, problem solver, passion for streamlining, storytelling, analyzing, projects, reporting.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
