As a 3rd Shift Safety Officer at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, you play an integral part in ensuring the hotel guests, associates, and hotel property are maintained in a safe and secure environment. Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva is a 1,300 acre, AAA Four Diamond resort and spa recognized as a Top Resort in the Midwest by Conde Nast Traveler. - Maintain safety for guests and associates while protecting property through continuous foot and vehicle patrols of the 1,300-acre campus including the restaurants, lobby area, associate entrance, banquet areas, guest floors, service and parking areas.
- Respond to emergency incidents and security requests
- Operate a dispatch center, handling key control, fire alarm and CCTV monitoring, and dispatching routine and emergency calls.
- Write professional case reports on incidents.
- Collect all package passes and parcels taken from the hotel
- Perform proactive security, safety, and loss prevention practices.
- Investigate situations and conditions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What do you bring to the role?
- Prior experience in security, military, or EMS preferred. Knowledge of security and law enforcement practices is a plus.
- College education preferred.
- Knowledge of local laws and ordinances.
- Exceptional people skills, customer service mentality and strong writing & logical thinking abilities.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and the public.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including overnight, weekends and holidays.
- Must be computer literate.
