PM Field Service Technician

This position is responsible for execution of preventive maintenance (PM) on TRUMPF CNC machines with minimum of assistance.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Work as required with a minimal or no supervision.
• Clearly and professionally interact with customers and colleagues.
• Execute PM on TRUMPF CNC machines (laser-cutting, punching, press-brake and laser-punch combination) in accordance with checklists and TRUMPF guidelines.
• Submit required TRUMPF mission reports in a complete and organized manner within day after completing the mission. Accurately report technical conditions and information.
• Travel up to 100%. Travel includes regional and national travel.
• Choose the most economical way to travel (flying vs. traveling by car), organized by our Travel Agency.
• Submit required expense reports in a complete and organized manner at the latest the week after the credit card charges occur.
• Work together with PM scheduler in respect of planning and scheduling missions.
• Flexible / adaptable attitude regarding last minute changes to schedule and mission.
• Must be able to lift 70 pounds without aid.
• Interface with customers in use and repair of TRUMPF reports in a complete and organized manner.
• Train customers in use and repair of TRUMPF reports in a complete and organized manner.
• Assist other Field Engineers as directed.
• Support further development of the PM-Group (eg, provides ideas to increase efficiency / quality of our PM missions, updating / correcting PM checklists).
• Follow the general Service and Trumpf guidelines.

Experience/Education

Two-year technical school degree in Engineering principles or a suitable combination of education and work experience.
