This position requires an active Secret clearance.

We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Partner/Principal to provide strategic leadership and technical expertise for a Department of Defense (DoD) Air Force (AF) contract. This critical role requires a candidate with deep experience in IT management, a strong background in cybersecurity, and proven success in managing large, complex engagements for government entities or Fortune 400 organizations.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Principal/Partner: Pay commensurate with experience.

Principal/Partner Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide authoritative advice and technical expertise on strategic IT practices and standards to ensure the alignment of information security strategies with DoD and federal regulations.
  • Lead and manage large, complex engagements, coordinating across multiple agencies or departments, ensuring successful delivery of IT projects.
  • Oversee the implementation and enforcement of Information Assurance Management (IAM) policies and procedures at a high level.
  • Lead teams, advising senior leadership on the development and execution of strategic IT initiatives.
  • Collaborate with DoD, federal agencies, or other key stakeholders, ensuring all projects meet security and compliance standards.
  • Develop and implement Information Protection processes, procedures, and technology requirements to ensure robust cybersecurity across all engagements.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key federal agencies and industry stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement Zero Trust security architectures and strategies, ensuring compliance with NIST Zero Trust and Cybersecurity Framework guidelines.
  • Develop executive-level briefings and metrics reporting to communicate the status of strategic IT initiatives and cybersecurity efforts to senior leadership.
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing team of IT professionals, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Principal/Partner Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Master's degree in business, IT, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or an equivalent Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level 3 certification.
  • Minimum of 10 years of IT experience, including:
    • Providing technical expertise and authoritative advice on strategic IT practices and standards, particularly within the DoD or other federal agencies.
    • Managing and leading large, complex engagements for DoD, federal agencies, or Fortune 400 organizations.
    • Leading multi-agency or multi-department activities, ensuring alignment and execution of strategic IT initiatives.
  • Leadership and Management: Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams, with the ability to manage large-scale, high-stakes engagements.
  • Ability to develop and implement long-term strategic goals for IT initiatives within a DoD or federal environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of DoD security frameworks, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST Zero Trust guidance, IAM policies, and industry best practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior leaders and key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with various stakeholders across multiple agencies, ensuring effective execution of projects and maintaining compliance.
  • Experience in developing and deploying Zero Trust architectures and strategies in alignment with federal regulations and guidelines.
  • Experience in developing and delivering executive-level briefings and metrics reporting, with a focus on strategic IT initiatives and security posture.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
