We have a Technical Recruiter opportunity in our Eden Prairie office. This role is critical in driving talent acquisition efforts to support the organization's technical and cultural needs. This position partners closely with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements, align recruitment strategies, and ensure a seamless hiring process. The recruiter will build relationships with both internal stakeholders and external talent pools, employing innovative and effective sourcing techniques to attract top candidates. The role involves full-cycle recruitment, from job posting to onboarding, while maintaining compliance with employment laws and fostering a positive candidate experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and nurture manager relationships to effectively understand postings
- Recruit talent that aligns with the mangers' visions of technical and cultural match
- Guide managers through the hiring process and recommend solutions for recruiting challenges
- Post positions to our career site as well as outside recruitment options
- Recruit passive candidates through variety of channels (i.e. LinkedIn, Indeed, Universities, Professional Associations, Personal and Professional Networks)
- Support the development and maintenance of a system to identify current and future talent pipelines
- Research current trends and seek market intelligence to gain competitive edge in attraction, assessment and sourcing methods
- Utilize ATS to manage applicant flow
- Assist managers in evaluation of candidates to include, but not limited to, pre-screening, references checks and candidate follow-up.
- Communicate with interviewed candidates as they flow through the process
- Attend career fairs to support recruitment efforts
- Build employer brand through educating candidates about W-M
- Ensure compliance with company and governmental regulations such as OFCCP, EEO and DOL
- Perform additional human resource activities that promote a positive candidate and employee experience
- Responsible for understanding, staying updated on, and abiding by the Employee Handbook as written

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate with candidates and WM staff at all levels
- Internet and social media savvy
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to "think outside the box" and exercise independent judgment for improvement of staffing services
- Knowledge of current state and federal law that may affect policies and procedures
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and manage sensitive and confidential matters such as personnel relations, organizational changes, and protection of information, data and files
- Understanding of general HR policies and procedures
- Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
- Proficiency with MS Office and HRIS systems (e.g. UKG)
- Confident presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel up to 5%
Education/Experience:
- BS/BA in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
- 4+ years of full cycle recruiting/sourcing experience in a professional recruiting role
- Experience working for a highly technical, multi-site engineering organization preferred
- Agency staffing experience strongly preferred
- Experience utilizing and managing an Applicant Tracking System, preferably UltiPro
- Additional HR training a plus
