Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Amada Punch and Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Amada turret punch presses and laser cutting machines to produce precision sheet metal components. The role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of machine operations, and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate Amada turret punch presses and laser cutting machines according to job specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate production.
  • Adjust machine settings, tooling, and materials to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Monitor machine operations and inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to ensure they meet tolerances.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues as needed.
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and production staff to optimize efficiency and output.

Qualifications:

  • Experience operating Amada punch press and/or laser cutting machines (or similar equipment).
  • Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes.
  • Proficiency with measuring tools and quality inspection techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of CNC programming is a plus.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
