Volkswagen Group of America's 6 - month Co-Op Program targets undergraduate students entering their Junior or Senior years who are eager to acquire practical, real-world experience in the automotive industry. Program Information:

* 6 - month (Summer and Fall) Start Date (non-negotiable): June 2, 2025

* Program Duration: June 2, 2025 - December 23, 2025

Role Summary:

The Vehicle Integration co-op will improve and extend test automation for Online Remote Update tests in vehicles using a Raspberry Pi. They will create a GUI and an overall dashboard for fleet monitoring. This project aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of remote update tests. The integration of these tools will provide better oversight and control over the fleet's performance.

Role Responsibilities:



  • Assist with organizing and tracking relevant engineering changes for new vehicle launches and existing vehicle model year changes.
  • This involves meticulous documentation and coordination to ensure all modifications are accurately recorded and implemented.
  • Support vehicle testing using step-by-step test cases and freestyle/customer-type testing, which includes both structured and exploratory approaches to thoroughly evaluate vehicle performance and reliability.
  • Implement test automation to streamline processes and improve efficiency, leveraging technology to reduce manual effort and enhance the precision and consistency of test results.

Skills:



  • Python, GUI development
  • Bachelor or Master in Engineering
  • Must be enrolled at a university/college or graduation date must be within the last six months, pursuing or completed a bachelor's or master's in engineering, or equivalent
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially in Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Shows interest in and demonstrates knowledge of cars and the automotive industry
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Detail oriented with a high level of organizational skills
  • Able to work on a team and independently on specific assigned tasks
  • Fluent in English; German and Spanish knowledge are preferable
  • Experience in an international environment is desirable
  • Microsoft Word
