Position: Industrial Maintenance Reliability Technician Location: Jefferson, TX Pay Rate: $30.05 - $34.92 + $1 Shift Diff Shift: 3rd Summary: Responsible for developing and implementing effective preventive maintenance programs at the facility to increase equipment reliability, reduce downtime and costs associated with repairs or lost production time. This position will also assist in troubleshooting of equipment when needed.
Responsibilities: 1) Maintain proper documentation of all work performed (work orders), including dates, times, repair/maintenance actions taken, parts replaced, and comments on conditions found. 2) Work safely around moving parts, electrical components, and potentially hot surfaces and sharp edges while performing maintenance activities. 3) Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery, electrical systems, and other equipment as necessary. 4) Conduct regular inspections of equipment, noting any potential problems or areas for improvement. 5) Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubricating moving parts, replacing worn or damaged parts, adjusting belts and pulleys, cleaning air filters, and inspecting electrical connections. 6) Assist in training others on basic maintenance procedures. 7) Help maintain accurate inventory records of spare parts and supplies used in maintenance activities. 8) Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing productivity, reducing waste, and improving safety. 9) Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. 10) Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety regulations as applicable to the site.
Qualifications: 1) Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred, ideally with some exposure to industrial maintenance roles. 2) Knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools commonly used in maintenance activities. 3) Ability to read and understand written instructions, blueprints, and schematics related to equipment operation and maintenance. 4) Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems commonly found in manufacturing environments. 5) Familiarity with lubrication principles and practices. 6) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically when addressing equipment issues. 7) Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to supervisors and coworkers regarding maintenance activities and concerns. 8) Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when documenting work performed and reporting on equipment conditions. 9) Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules and assignments as needed. 10) Commitment to safety and adherence to established protocols to minimize risks in the workplace.
