Position Summary:

Responsible for overseeing the quality and food safety efforts within with focus on continuous improvement of the Quality Management System. The QA Engineer will have responsibility to manage the planning, developing and directing of both food safety and quality assurance policies, programs and initiatives.

Duties and responsibilities



  • Analyzing Information, Reporting Research Results, Technical Understanding, Promoting Process Improvement, Developing Standards, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Supports Innovation, Focus on VOC
  • Lean problem-solving and corrective action processes; including 8D, Pareto Analysis, 5-Why technique, Design of Experiments and other manufacturing-related continuous improvement tools.
  • Lead implementation of world class quality processes, increasing responsiveness to customer concerns, and be responsible for establishing and sustaining robust quality systems.
  • Genuine commitment to fostering long-term growth and development of manufacturing quality systems.
  • Lead the Operations organization in establishing and sustaining robust quality controls.
  • Applies statistical quality control methods in analyzing data to evaluate the current process and recommend process changes.
  • Plans and conducts quality analysis, design of experiments, and products tests to assure the quality of products.
  • Conducts quality reviews and audits for compliance with stated requirements from design documentation, both internal and with purchased product.
  • Successfully works across all disciplines and levels of the organization in a persuasive and credible manner.
  • Experience implementing, administrating and/or auditing quality programs and procedures, such as ISO9001.
  • Lead and coordinate Customer and Internal Audits.
  • Ensure products meet company, customer and regulatory requirements for quality and food safety.
  • Review all HACCP and regulatory documentation for required record review and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Establish performance and developmental objectives for QA Technicians and monitor metrics thereof.



Candidate Requirements:



  • Bachelor of Science in engineering, quality management, production or related technical discipline; or equivalent in experience.
  • Minimum 5 years working in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Strongly prefer ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.
  • Knowledge of Food Quality and Food Safety programs including GMP, HACCP, CAPA.
  • BRC or SQF certification preferred
  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
