Principal Product Technology Lead - Application Software

JOB SUMMARY

This role serves as the accountable technical leader for application software product lines operating horizontally across multiple equipment platforms and business functions. The position holds primary ownership for technical excellence and high-quality software performance across the complete lifecycle - from early concept development through deployment, maintenance, to end-of-life. Through deep technical expertise and influential leadership, this role orchestrates complex software initiatives that must satisfy diverse stakeholder requirements across multiple business units. The position drives product strategy, prioritizes cross-functional needs, and implements scalable delivery models that maximize business value while ensuring robust technical integrity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES



  • Drive and own technical strategy and product roadmaps for cross-platform application software initiatives, balancing requirements from multiple product lines and business units while exercising independent judgment in complex decisions
  • Establish and govern continuous delivery frameworks that enable regular, predictable software releases while maintaining quality standards and accommodating evolving business priorities
  • Represent the organization as the primary technical contact for application software product lines, engaging with external partners and customers on significant technical matters requiring cross-organizational coordination
  • Lead multiple parallel technical initiatives simultaneously, implementing effective prioritization frameworks that optimize resources and deliver maximum business value
  • Define innovative software solutions through technical expertise and cross-functional collaboration, anticipating problems and developing architectures that scale across multiple product platforms
  • Champion system architecture development and technical standards that enable interoperability and integration across diverse equipment platforms and business systems
  • Guide quality and regulatory strategy development for integrated healthcare software applications, directing comprehensive technical risk management approaches across business domains
  • Drive cybersecurity excellence and risk mitigation strategies across the application portfolio, ensuring compliance with evolving industry standards and threat landscapes
  • Provide technical mentorship across the organization, fostering excellence through advanced knowledge sharing and cross-platform best practices
  • Drive strategic technology partnerships through technical leadership, guiding software advancement initiatives that benefit multiple business units
  • Lead system verification and integration activities across complex technology ecosystems, developing approaches that ensure robust solutions in diverse operating environments
  • Guide strategic product decisions from concept through end-of-life, including evaluation of deployment models (on-premise, cloud, SaaS) that best serve business needs while maintaining regulatory compliance
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration through technical influence and strategic decision making, ensuring alignment of technical vision across distributed development teams



MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered
  • Advanced engineering or computer science degree strongly preferred



Experience



  • Minimum 15 years progressive technical experience in software development, with demonstrated expertise in cross-platform applications
  • Minimum 5 years technical project/program leadership experience managing multiple concurrent software initiatives
  • Minimum 5 years of direct product development experience in the medical device software industry
  • Demonstrated success implementing continuous delivery models at scale
  • Strong expertise in systems engineering and integration across diverse technology platforms
  • Track record of leading through influence in matrix organizations with multiple stakeholders
  • Proven success driving complex technical programs with significant business impact across organizational boundaries

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships across organizational boundaries
  • Expert proficiency with software engineering tools, DevOps practices, and product development systems

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

General Labor Environment requirements include: use of personal protective equipment, reading, speaking, hearing, walking, bending, standing, stretching/reaching, hand/finger dexterity, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, or transporting up to 500 pounds via carts or mechanized equipment.

Additional Physical Requirements

Target Pay Range:$151,500.00to$189,400.00 -Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data

Target Bonus on Base:20.0%
