What You Will Do:
Gannett Fleming TranSystems is seeking a Insurance Claims Specialist to join our Risk Management & Legal Team! This role follows a remote work model.

What you'll be challenged to do:

The Insurance Claims Specialist will support the company's insurance manager and attorneys in overseeing and managing claims related to general liability, workers' compensation, and auto liability. This role involves administrative and operational support for the claims process, including gathering and organizing documentation, responding to subpoenas, liaising with internal stakeholders and external claims adjusters, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in insurance claims administration, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

You will be responsible for the following:
  • Assist with the administration of general liability, workers' compensation, and auto liability claims.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external adjusters to exchange claims-related information.
  • Monitor claims progress and maintain accurate records in the claims management system.
  • Ensure timely reporting of claims to insurance carriers and assist attorneys with gathering documents for subpoenas, litigation, or regulatory requests.
  • Coordinate with HR, Safety, and Operations teams to collect supporting materials.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies related to claims handling and support process improvements.
  • Prepare regular reports on claims trends, reserves, and outcomes for management review.
  • Track and analyze claims data to identify patterns, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks.
  • Assist Insurance Manager with exposure information for Captive Insurance program renewal, allocation and invoicing of premiums, and training internal stakeholders on claims reporting.
Education | Experience:
What you will bring to our firm:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field preferred, or certifications such as Associate in Claims (AIC). Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in insurance claims administration, claims support, or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with general liability, workers' compensation, and auto liability claims is required.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with claims management systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
What we prefer you bring:
  • Experience working in a corporate risk management or legal department.
  • Knowledge of insurance policy terms and claims processes.
  • Experience responding to subpoenas or working in a legal support role.
Compensation:
The range for this position is salary range is $60,000 - $80,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
