Join the HJF Team! HJF is seeking a Clinical Data Analyst II to provide analytic support to epidemiologists, biostatisticians and scientists and ensure data quality and data integrity. This position will be in support of Gynecologic Cancer-Center of Excellence (GYN-COE). The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Responsibilities
- Implement data checks and programmatic review of clinical, epidemiological and patient-reported outcomes data to (a) track activities, (b) identify and correct missing, inconsistencies or errors, (c) issue and resolve queries, (d) score instruments, and (e) organize, manage and analyze longitudinal cancer procedures, treatments, biomarkers and follow up outcomes and events.
- Import, clean, transform, manage, validate and/or perform modeling and analysis of data to support clinical research and/or translational research investigations.
- Prepare, archive and disseminate clinical data lockouts for clinical research and/or translational research investigations.
- Investigate, track, trouble-shot, problem-solve and report on incidents, data quality, integrity and vulnerability issues making recommendations to leadership and coordinating with teams to implement corrective actions, best practices and solutions.
- Prepare, maintain and make recommendations to strengthen standard operating procedures, methods, workflows and pipelines to enhance data quality and efficiency, and improve collection, tracking, processing, quality assurance, quality control, distribution, data flow, recoding, transformation, database management and database editing.
- Participates in data-related projects, including but not limited to data normalization, data quality assurance, data maintenance and archiving, data research, data standardization, and data product and project development.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Assigned Lead: May recommend the following: employee hiring, disciplinary action, and starting salaries; provide input on employee performance evaluations.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree Required; Master's Degree Preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience required
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge and application of data cleansing and migration techniques. Demonstrated analytical skills and passion for data quality, cleaning, and analysis.
- Experience with data modelling.
- Must have strong Excel and MS SQL skills.
- Experience with SAS, SPSS, STATA, python and/or R.
- Ability to investigate data issues and participate in remediation activities.
- Statistical and data analysis skills are a must to assist with gathering and solving data quality issues. Ability to review detailed documents to evaluate, clean and validate data in operating systems including but not limited to medical record systems, REDCap and Nextcloud file management.
- Experience in writing requirements, standard operating procedures, reports and recommendations.
- Excel MACROS experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with human subjects research; clinical data collection, coordination and management; oncology terms; outcome analyses; and IDC-10 and ICO3 coding is a plus.

Work Environment
- This position will take place primarily in an office setting.
- This position is onsite Monday-Friday in Annandale, Virginia
Compensation
- The annual salary range for this position is $64,200-95,000. Actual salary will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
