BSC Store Clerk- McGuire

Reports to: BSC Store Manager

Supervises: N/A

Summary Statement: The person in this position is responsible for assisting customers with merchandise and deployment needs, maintaining the BSC brand and customer service standards.

Essential Job Functions



  • Answer telephone and welcome customers by greeting them, learning their shopping purpose, and providing customer satisfaction with a friendly, courteous and professional attitude.
  • Handle and assist with all sizing needs for deployments.
  • Assist with online purchasing and fulfilling backorders.
  • Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and others in a position to understand merchandise requirements.
  • Operate POS system to check out all customer purchases, returns or exchanges.
  • Maintain cleanliness of sales floor, restrooms, warehouse and office space.
  • Resolve customer issues, seeking assistance from a manager if needed.
  • Accurately enter all customer information into the POS system.
  • Assists Stock Clerk with "Not in Stock Report" and updating of NIS tags.
  • In absence of the Stock Clerk, sign, verify, and receive inventory, submitting required paperwork.
  • Participate in store inventories, conduct cycle counts, and assist with A to Z shelf organization.


Marginal Job Functions



  • Assist other personnel as time and knowledge permit.
  • Participate in training and meetings as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Must work professionally as part of a team with other store employees.
  • Must be able to comprehend and perform duties using established work and safety procedures.
  • Must perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workloads.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Appearance must be neat, clean and in adherence to the company's dress code policy.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.


Education and Work Experience



  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Training while on the job will be provided.
