Description

Parma CVICU has been working diligently to expand our services for our growing patient population. We have a 14 bed critical care unit compiled of cardiac surgery, cardiology, vascular, thoracic, and medical intensive care patients. What makes us unique is our 24/7 intensivist coverage, our open heart navigator that follows patients through the entire perioperative experience of cardiac surgery, and two specialized Nurse Practitioners that assist nurses and physicians in meeting core quality measures and optimal patient outcomes. Our team prides themselves on advanced education and obtaining nursing certifications, as well as a work life balance of celebrating both life events and helping each other through personal hardships.

A Brief Overview

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

What You Will Do

  • Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care.
  • Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
  • Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
  • Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing.
  • Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.

  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
