STV is seeking an Airport Systems Inspector for the Construction Management Group.

Job Summary:

The Airport Systems Inspector is responsible for inspecting, testing, and ensuring the compliance of specialized airport systems, including baggage handling systems (BHS), passenger boarding bridges (PBB), airfield lighting, security systems, communications networks, and other critical airport infrastructure. The inspector ensures that all systems meet project specifications, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities:

System Inspection & Quality Control:

  • Conduct inspections, audits, and testing of airport systems, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to design specifications.

  • Review and verify equipment, materials, and installation procedures for compliance with international and airport-specific standards (FAA, ICAO, IATA).

  • Monitor installation and integration of BHS, PBB, airfield ground lighting, security systems, fire detection, PA systems, and SCADA/BMS systems.

  • Identify deficiencies, malfunctions, or deviations and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

  • Witness system commissioning, functional tests, and operational trials to validate performance.

Project Coordination & Reporting:

  • Work closely with contractors, engineers, and airport authorities to ensure smooth execution of work.

  • Maintain inspection logs, technical reports, and compliance documentation.

  • Participate in project meetings and provide status updates on system readiness.

  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving integration issues between airport systems.

Safety & Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure all airport systems comply with FAA, ICAO, IATA, NFPA, NEC, and local regulatory standards.

  • Conduct safety audits related to critical airport infrastructure.

  • Support implementation of risk mitigation strategies for high-priority systems.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Systems Engineering.

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in airport systems inspection, installation, or maintenance.

  • Certifications:

    • Industry certifications related to airport systems, electrical safety, or quality control preferred.

    • Knowledge of SCADA, BMS, ELV, and airport security systems is a plus.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Expertise in airport-specific systems such as BHS, PBB, airfield lighting, CCTV, FIDS, PA, fire alarms, and access control.

    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and airport systems monitoring software.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment with strict deadlines.

Compensation Range:

$69,161.00 - $92,215.00
