Job Description

Purpose:

Ensures the future sustainability and financial wellbeing of Clow Valve by actively serving as the knowledge resource for financial tax liabilities and maintaining compliance. Cohesively partners with business operations to accurately inform on Capital assets, budgets, project expenditures, and payback analysis to promote manufacturing excellence.

Sustainability:

a. Identify and implement 3 accounting improvement projects per year.

b. Organize and drive annual internal/external audits with 0 findings.

Customer Experience: Complete all tax returns on time with 100% accuracy.

Leadership:

a. Complete 1 professional development opportunity per month.

Core Functions of Position

  1. Tax Compliance (35%): Ensure Clow's tax compliance integrity by accurately maintaining and completing all tax liabilities, depreciation reports, and filings on-time; reducing the frequency of state audits. Actively research opportunities for tax credits/energy rebates and cohesively partner with internal/external business partners to promote the financial wellbeing of the organization. Diligently provide corporate with accurate reporting metrics in a timely manner to maintain compliance. Assess all purchased material to guarantee sales tax is accurately accounted for to reduce possible future liabilities.
  2. Business Enhancement (35%): Partner with business operations to gain full understanding of Capital assets, budgets, and project expenditures. Actively provide sound knowledge of all tax and compliance liabilities to guarantee accurate reporting of future capital expenditures, provide payback analysis for projects allowing management to make sound business decisions. Proactively assess the accounting processes, research possible opportunities for enhancement, and implement streamlined processes that allow the organization to work more efficiently and with more transparency. Willingly support the Credit department during absences to assist in maximizing customer satisfaction.
  3. Fixed Assets (30%): Diligently maintain all Fixed assets, keeping accurate records of additions, disposals, and sales movements. Record all assets in the BNA system and reconcile GL to guarantee correct recordings. Assiduously reconcile all CIP accounts, maintain CIP budgets reports, and report all information to corporate. Actively work with business operations during the AR process to ensure accuracy of the project initiation, budgeting, payback analysis, and financial liabilities to promote Clow's future financial sustainability.
Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suites
  • Strong organization, analytical and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of various Tax filings (Sales / Use / Property)
  • Strong understanding of Fixed Asset and Depreciation processes

Education & Experience:

Preferred:

  • Bachelor degree inAccounting with 3 to 5 years' experience in an Accounting related field.
  • Knowledge focus in Tax and Fixed Asset.

Required:

  • 1 to 2 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
