Injection Molding Process Technician 1st Shift, Delavan, WI

We have an opportunity for an Injection Molding Process Technician to join our Delavan, WI team. You will develop new, and optimize existing, manufacturing processes within the Injection molding department. You will be involved with new product roll outs and ongoing support ongoing support of those products. This role will also assist in coordinating tool and vendor related equipment repair when required.

You will:

  • Develop and improve molding processes for new or existing products by supporting production on a daily basis.
  • Assist the IM Manufacturing Engineer with creation of standard operating procedures for new or existing products.
  • Execute all new mold validations through our molding PPAP and sampling and validation and assisting in the creation of the proper documentation to support ongoing production with IM Manufacturing Engineer and IM team leadership.
  • Support IM Manufacturing Engineer and IM VSM by identifying improvement projects to increase Safety and Quality for not only our customers, but our associates.
  • Validate processes for part quality and cycle times in order to reduce scrap and improve productivity.
  • Support the IM Manufacturing Engineer and Quality Engineers by helping respond to internal or external part or process non-conformities by assisting in troubleshooting and root cause analysis tasks.
  • Provide guidance to operators, set up technicians and shift leads pertaining to part quality, process updates or machine/tooling concerns.

Key Qualifications:

  • Have 5+ years of experience working in a technical role in an Injection Molding environment.
  • Experience with mold, robot and machine set up and/or trouble shooting.
  • Strong knowledge on molding process development.
  • A basic understanding of Continuous Flow Manufacturing and lean principles.
  • Working knowledge of part inspection equipment such as calipers, dial indicators, go-no go gaging, and associated equipment.
  • Capable of writing technical documentation to ensure process capability, such as set-up and calibration procedures, and support the development and implementation of equipment standards to insure ease of operation, safety, and maintainability.

Shift/Hours:

  • 1st Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday

Compensation:

The hourly pay for this role is: $35.00 - $37.00/hr. DOE Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
