As a Product Governance Project Manager, you will:



  • Implement and maintain governance processes for product management initiatives
  • Collaborate with Product teams and management to execute product governance objectives and deliverables
  • Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to review product status, risks, and dependencies
  • Serve as a liaison between Product teams and cross-functional stakeholders (Technology, Operations, Compliance, Legal) to ensure alignment on product governance requirements
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans and timelines for product initiatives
  • Prepare and distribute regular status reports detailing product status, risks, and performance metrics
  • Coordinate resource allocation across teams in collaboration with team leads
  • Monitor budget adherence for product governance initiatives
  • Identify and track risks; coordinate mitigation strategies with relevant stakeholders
  • Conduct regular health checks on product projects; present findings to management
  • Apply best practices related to project methodologies impacting successful delivery outcomes
  • Support adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements; coordinate with Legal and Compliance teams as needed
  • Support change management processes within product-focused initiatives
  • Act as a liaison between Product teams and cross-functional stakeholders ensuring clarity of communication



As a Product Governance Project Manager you will work closely with the 2U Project Management team-including the Operational Governance Project Manager and Technical & Integrations Governance Project Manager-to ensure coordinated project execution across the 2UniFi initiative.

In addition, as a Product Governance Program Manager, you will play a critical role in bridging strategic objectives with effective product execution. Your ability to effectively manage complex stakeholder relationships while driving disciplined product governance will be essential for the success of our enterprise-wide initiatives.

Minimum Requirements: This position requires the following educational and/or job experience:




  • Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Technology Management, Finance or related field; Master's degree preferred


  • 5+ years of experience in project management roles within software development or product management environments
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and associated project management tools
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholder groups
  • Familiarity with budget management practices and resource allocation
  • Good communication skills with ability to work with stakeholders at various levels
  • Strong analytical capabilities with problem-solving skills



Desired Skills: Ideal candidates for this position should possess some or all of the following skills:



  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience within banking or financial services industries
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements specific to financial products
  • Stakeholder management capabilities at multiple organizational levels
  • Proficiency using project management software platforms and reporting tools
  • Practical decision-making capabilities focused on effective execution
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Experience implementing risk management approaches
