Overview

Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor, Breast Oncology, on the Full Time Clinical Faculty pathway with an approximate 80:20 contribution to clinical service and academic pursuits.

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) and the University of Washington (UW) are jointly recruiting a full-time clinical faculty member specializing in clinical care of patients with breast cancer. This position will be at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level without tenure due to funding (WOT), commensurate with experience and qualifications in the Clinical Research Division of the Fred Hutch and the Division of Hematology and Oncology at UW.

Fred Hutch and UW faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. This position will focus primarily on exceptional clinical care of patients with breast cancer at a world-renowned comprehensive cancer center. The Breast Oncology group is committed to providing outstanding patient care, and members of the breast oncology disease program will be expected to be a part of the clinical and research mission of the program. The position may also involve participation in the administrative, research, and instructional activities of the Clinical Research Division. Teaching responsibilities involve oversight of trainees during outpatient and inpatient clinical activities, and lectures. The position will be based at the South Lake Union main campus, but there is the possibility that the incumbent could see patients at one of Fred Hutch's community clinics.

The primary, annual appointment will be in the Clinical Research Division of Fred Hutch. The position will report to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutch and the Division Head of Hematology and Oncology.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must have:

    MD/DO degree (or foreign equivalent)
  • Completion of a fellowship in Medical Oncology or Hematology/Oncology and American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) eligible or certified in Medical Oncology (or foreign equivalent)
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Washington.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record in clinical care with a primary focus on breast cancer.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $306,000.00 to $315,000.00 for faculty hired at the Clinical Assistant Professor rank, from $340,000.00 to $350,000.00 for faculty hired at the Clinical Associate Professor rank, and from $374,000.00 to $385,000.00 for faculty hired at the Clinical Professor rank. This position is incentive eligible. Pay for Faculty positions is based on a variety of factors, including degree, specialty, clinical practice and experience. This position is eligible for relocation assistance and/or sign-on bonus.

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers employees a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance health, well-being, and financial security.
