Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer in a retail environment, you will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas and providing exceptional customer service and communication. This position requires an armed designation, ensuring you are equipped to handle various situations. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Thur 08:00 AM - 03:45 PM

Responsibilities:

    Provide customer service by implementing security procedures and site-specific policies, and engage in emergency response activities when necessary.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations with a calm and problem-solving approach.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
  • Help to deter potential security-related incidents through visible presence and proactive engagement.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with the public and addressing inquiries or concerns.
  • Document and report any unusual activities or incidents to the appropriate authorities or management.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall security posture of the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have an armed designation.
  • Candidates must have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with AU Driver Policy requirements.
  • Level III Armed Certification is required for positions in Texas.
  • Texas Security Professional Guard Card is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
