Senior Java Engineer Cognizant Digital Engineering practice is looking to hire a Senior Java Engineer with solid experience with Java, Spring Boot, and experienced with AWS. Cognizant Digital Practice helps clients reinvent products, experiences, and business models to create new value, differentiation, and drive revenue in the digital economy. We take an Experience centered approach which uses human insights to take ideas from vision to outcome and building end to end experience led solutions that enables brands to transform their customer and employee experiences using design, marketing, and commerce capabilities. Responsibilities: * Participating in Scrum Calls * Analyze existing customer applications. * Prepare High level technical understanding document detailing the functionalities along with interface specifications. * Write clean, testable code using Java, SpringBoot, Microservices AWS * Identify technical issues with the existing code and propose suitable fixes * Upgrade existing code (Review and Refactor) * Analyze performance issues in the existing stored procedures and identify fixes * Perform POCs to validate solution, design services, components and architecture considerations. Key Qualifications: * Work experience as a Java Tech Lead * In-depth knowledge of the Java, SpringBoot, Mircoservices and application deployment in AWS EC2 servers * Proficiency in building web-based applications * Produce code using Java, SPringBoot and Microservices; configuring, upgrading and debugging current systems. * Participating in requirement analysis, producing software design and architecture using Java technologies, writing clean, scalable code, testing, and deploying systems and applications, improving existing software, developing documentation all through the SDLC process, providing technical assistance to other developers * Working in Agile development model and participate in daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, PI Planning, sprint planning, and retrospectives. * Self-motivated with the ability to take charge or play a lead role, review code, review design, write, and test the new code. * Good experience handling multiple POD teams, doing code reviews, and setting up coding standards.
