ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Take part in NOC the shift schedule for daily/nightly tier 1 operations coverage and support of AECC's operational network.
  • Provide professional and exceptional customer service to AECC's members, customers, vendors, and business partners whether in person, on-phone, or electronically.
  • Answer the AECC NOC hotline and comprehend information given verbally to make informative decisions.
  • Monitor the AECC NOC email inbox and respond to requests and important information.
  • Perform and complete daily/nightly NOC duties and standard operating procedures such as shift change documentation, system log reviews, proactive system/equipment checks, etc.
  • Proactively interface with AECC NOC monitoring tools for active or potential problems to maintain the reliability, performance, and business continuity of AECC's critical applications/systems such as network infrastructure and physical/virtual servers.
  • Perform incident management and documentation such as initial troubleshooting and recording incidents via ticketing systems, written/verbal communications updates to affected users/stakeholders, escalations, etc.
  • Provide tier 1 standard operating procedures that diagnose and troubleshoot network infrastructure/systems
  • Support system/equipment life cycle such as software/security updates, commissioning and decommissioning processes, etc.
  • Perform and take part in systems testing and documentation tasks such as network failover, business continuity testing, etc.
  • Analyze metrics and report performance trends to provide a proactive approach in predicting future issues or outages.
  • Perform any other duties assigned
  • Due to our obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to our customers, the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and the ability to work outside your regularly scheduled office hours when necessary is an essential function of the job.


Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree plus related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Analyst I - 2 years of related experience

Analyst II -4 years of related experience

Analyst III - 7 years of related experience

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Driver's license

PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
CompTIA Net+ Or the ability to obtain this certification within a year.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Must be flexible to work weekends and/or overnight shifts as necessary Some travel (<10%), will be required. Experience working in a process-oriented workflow environment. Understanding of network technologies (WAN, LAN, WLAN, VPN, etc.) Working knowledge of enterprise software tools such as MS Office suite.
Proven customer experience and practiced oral and written communication skills. Self-motivated and ability to take initiative.
