Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Architect with 8+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Google Distributed Cloud Datastore Cloud SQL Cloud Pub/Sub Cloud Composer BigQuery Python Cloud Dataproc and Cloud Dataflow.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and reliable cloud-based solutions using Google Distributed Cloud Datastore Cloud SQL Cloud Pub/Sub Cloud Composer BigQuery Python Cloud Dataproc and Cloud Dataflow.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows to support data integration and processing needs.
  • Optimize and enhance existing cloud infrastructure to improve performance scalability and cost-efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Perform code reviews to maintain coding standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies incorporating them into the overall architecture strategy.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all architectural designs and implementations.
  • Collaborate with customers to define and prioritize project work ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements implementing necessary controls and measures.
  • Participate in architectural reviews and provide recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
  • Contribute to the development of long-term technology strategies and roadmaps.
Qualifications
  • Possess strong expertise in Google Distributed Cloud Datastore Cloud SQL Cloud Pub/Sub Cloud Composer BigQuery Python Cloud Dataproc and Cloud Dataflow.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in the Utilities domain understanding industry-specific challenges and requirements.
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
  • Showcase strong communication and collaboration skills working seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
Certifications Required

Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer or equivalent certification.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Application will be accepted until April 24,2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $81,000- $150,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
