Description

Role: The Mortgage Servicing Manager at Blaze will oversee all aspects of servicing, funding, member service, and Investor reporting within the mortgage the department. The primary responsibility will be to ensure that our mortgage operations adhere to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies. The Mortgage Servicing Manager will lead a team of Mortgage Servicers which includes Funders, Quality Assurance, and Member Service. This role requires a strong understanding of mortgage lending regulations, attention to detail, and excellent leadership skills.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure loans are funded accurately and all underwriting guidelines have been met.
  • Interpret and apply secondary market requirements, including daily reporting, and custodial balancing.
  • Maintain a high-level of member service by ensuring questions are answered and requests are processed in a timely manner.
  • Provide training and education to mortgage staff on procedures, compliance requirements, and best practices.
  • Manage the Loan Funding, disbursements, and post close review process.
  • Supervise employees in the Mortgage Servicing Department in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws and regulations
  • Keep on top of industry developments, changes in regulations, and emerging trends in mortgage lending, and disseminate relevant information to staff as needed.

  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control

Requirements

Experience/Education/Certifications/Licenses

  • Minimum High School degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of similar or related financial experience including mortgage servicing; leadership experience a plus.

Demonstrated Knowledge

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft products.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to lead credit union department processes; exert regional influence or corporate knowledge sharing.
  • Knowledge of Fiserv DNA and Encompass a plus.
  • Simple arithmetic and finance related mathematics (e.g., interest, time value of money, compounding)
  • Knowledge of Secondary Market guidelines, CFPB regulations and all other mortgage related laws and regulations.

Communication Skills

Ability to proactively respond to members/employees to problem solve based on guidelines.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and stand; answer calls; operate computer; interact with internal associates and members on the phone; travel to designated offices; lift up to 20 lbs.

We are committed to providing salary ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on your experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity considerations. The salary range for this position is: $76,635.60-$114,953.40. This range reflects the base salary for this position. We have other benefits associated with this position which include: low-cost medical (as low as $20 a paycheck), dental insurance, vision insurance, quarterly bonuses, generous vacation and sick time hours, paid leave options, up to 6% 401k contribution, and tuition reimbursement.
