What you'll do:



  • Architect and implement scalable, secure, and reliable Azure-based cloud infrastructure.
  • Lead efforts to design, deploy, and optimize IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions in Azure.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient and automated software deployment.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure and applications.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities in cloud environments.
  • Implement and manage Azure security best practices, including identity management, role-based access controls, and network security.
  • Support compliance with federal standards such as FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST guidelines.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement mitigations for cloud environments.
  • Work closely with development teams to support cloud-native application design.
  • Partner with stakeholders to align cloud solutions with mission objectives.
  • Mentor junior engineers on cloud architecture and Azure technologies.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Azure services, tools, and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
  • Contribute to innovation initiatives that enhance cloud capabilities and organizational agility.



What you'll need to succeed:



  • Active Secret Clearance is required.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT or software engineering, with at least 5 years focused on cloud engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Extensive experience with Azure, including Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure Active Directory, or a similar platform.
  • Proven track record in designing and managing hybrid cloud and cloud-native solutions.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or AWS equivalent
  • Additional certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or AWS/GCP certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to be onsite in Washington, DC 5 days a week.
