Description System Administrator (ITSM/JSM) Merritt Island, FL 32953 Job Type: Full Time W2 Location: On-Site Kennedy Space Center Alternative NASA locations will be considered for candidates residing in a 50-mile radius Job Description: Anakim Consulting Inc. has an opening for a System Administrator with Atlassian Jira experience to support a Linux and Windows environment for a federal government customer. This position will support Operating patching and maintenance, shell scripting, and server builds. Qualified candidates will have experience administering Atlassian Jira system in a large IT environment and strong knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms and design. Responsibilities include: Administer Jira system including: Design and create Jira ticket workflows Design Jira dashboards and forms Manage ticket queues and assignment or assignment logic Develop and produce ticket closure statistics, metrics and reports (weekly and monthly) Train users in use of system Participate in ongoing learning to understand business needs to adapt and refine system support Apply knowledge of concepts, processes, practices and procedures to support technical requirements Support installation, configuration, and maintenance for operating system workstations and servers (virtual, cloud, web servers) Perform software installation and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages Support installations, upgrades, and maintenance following IT policies Ensure workstation/server data integrity evaluating, implementing, and managing SW and HW solutions Ensure data/media recoverability following schedule of system backups and database archive operations Support media management including offsite storage and retrieval services Develop and support Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Conduct hardware and software audits for workstations and servers to meet compliance and configuration policies Develop and maintain comprehensive operating system HW and SW configuration database/library for supporting documentation Support on-site work schedule at NASA facility Position Requirements Basic Qualifications: U.S. citizenship (no dual citizenship) Ability to obtain security access (Public Trust level) Bachelor's degree in computer field Equivalent years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree 6-10 years of related systems administration experience including: 5 years of experience with Linux or Windows administration Experience with Atlassian Jira administration in an enterprise environment Demonstrated experience designing, managing, and delivering ITSM platforms to meet business needs Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and best practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Located with a commuting range of NASA facility to support site work Preferred Qualifications: ITIL certification Experience supporting a large IT environment Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Position System Administration (Atlassian/Jira) About the Organization Anakim Consulting is a privately held small company that provides growth opportunities for employees.
