About the Role

As the VP, IT Infrastructure, you will be responsible for driving IT strategy and overseeing the Microsoft cloud infrastructure, including Power BI and M365. You will also manage the Azure and AWS cloud environments and provide leadership and support for IT operations in both our domestic and international locations.

Responsibilities
  • IT Strategy and Leadership
    • Manage and lead IT team
    • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with senior management to identify technology needs and recommend solutions to improve efficiency, productivity, and security.
    • Provide strategic guidance on the use of technology to gain a competitive edge in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
    • Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation within the organization.
  • Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure Management
    • Oversee the management and optimization of the Microsoft cloud infrastructure, including Power BI and M365.
    • Ensure the effective utilization of cloud services to enhance collaboration, data analysis, and reporting capabilities.
    • Work closely with stakeholders to identify and address any issues or improvements related to the Microsoft cloud environment.
  • Cloud Environments
    • Manage the Azure and AWS cloud environments and ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
    • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of cloud services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security components.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical systems and data.
  • IT Operations Management
    • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
    • Oversee IT vendor management and budget including aspects of budgets related to cross- functional teams and efforts that charge back to IT
    • Manage IT operations for both the domestic and international locations, ensuring smooth day-to- day functioning and proactive issue resolution.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline business processes and optimize IT systems.
    • Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance and security standards.
  • Cybersecurity
    • Develop and implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect the company's information assets, networks, and systems.
    • Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
    • Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
    • Provide guidance on incident response and coordinate appropriate actions in the event of a security breach.
Required Qualification & Skills
    • Bachelors' degree required, master's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology in information systems or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
    • Minimum of 15-20+ years of pharma experience in IT Services or an IT Security role demonstrating consistent career growth and increasing levels of responsibility.
    • Deep understanding of networks, security, telecommunications, databases, and storage systems.
    • Sound working knowledge of IT operations, systems, and developments.
    • Experience with deploying and operating Microsoft systems including, Azure, Endpoint Management, M365 and Teams
    • Experience with supporting multiple corporate offices, remote employees, and field sales employees.
    • Proven ability to operate within a fast paced, and dynamic environment consistent within a growing company.
    • Strong business acumen, with experience in understanding and shaping technology investments in support of company strategy.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical individuals.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to readily communicate with all levels of the organization.
    • The ability to provide strategic leadership direction and can manage & understand the details.
    • Industry certifications are desirable.
