Job Title: Packager

Department: Equipment Division

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Mission: Our mission is to deliver high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective pretreatment and chemical feed systems that are easy to install, minimizing time and effort required by our sales team and customers. While our core business and primary revenue stream is the sale of water treatment chemicals, the key objective of the Packager role is to prepare equipment-through boxing, crating, and securement-for safe and efficient truck line shipments.

Purpose of the Job: Responsible for ensuring that water treatment equipment systems on orders are properly accounted for, packaged, and prepared for LTL shipments. The role primarily involves boxing, palletizing, fabricating crates for various water treatment equipment products, with the focus on meeting quality standards, safety protocols, and timely delivery.

Level of Authority: Performs work under direct supervision of Production Supervisor. Latitude is given for independent action and decisions. Error in judgement could have significant impact on customer relations.

Work Environment: Work is to be performed in a manufacturing environment. Work will be performed in varying climate conditions ranging from (55F to 100F) and with usual hazards associated with manufacturing environments.

Work Hours: Normal weekday office Hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Due to the nature of the business night, weekend, and holiday hours may be required to meet our sales force and customer's needs. Overtime pay or compensatory time off will be offered when these job requirements occur.

Travel: Day and/or overnight travel are NOT required.

Essential Job Functions:

• Confirm that all items listed on the order are present and accounted for prior to beginning the packaging process.

• Utilize appropriate packaging methods including boxing, palletizing, and constructing custom wooden crates for special equipment that cannot be boxed, ensuring maximum protection during transportation.

• Ensure all items are securely packed using stretch wrap, banding, or other necessary materials to prevent shifting or damage in transit.

• Accurately weigh all shipments and clearly label each item with the corresponding order number and weight.

• Provide backup support for equipment assembly tasks as needed to maintain production flow.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all Chem-Aqua safety policies and procedures.

Addition Job Functions:

• Complete special task set forth by the inventory Supervisor.

Qualifications and Capabilities:

Skills

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Be able to read a tap measure
• Use of power tools (Miter Saw, Drills, and Nail Gun) is a plus
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office a plus.

Physical

• Must have physical strength and ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Must have good visual ability for close-up observations

• Must have god depth perception and ability to distinguish different colors.

• Must have hearing sufficient to hear verbal and audible signals at a moderate distance.

• Must be conditioned to sustain work in a manufacturing environment that ranges in temperature from 55F to 95F
