The Opportunity

TC Energy is seeking to add an #EnergyProblemSolver. We are seeking Technicians with an interest in Electrical, Instrumentation and/or Controls, Mechanical, Pipeline, or Construction skills and repairing, installing, troubleshooting, and performing other planned maintenance and corrective tasks. Duties will vary depending on the role and area/location.

Locations: Various sites in Louisiana and selected areas in Mississippi, where TC Energy has offices. We also have opportunities in other states if you're interested.

What you'll do

• Perform installation, testing, repair and maintenance on oil storage facilities, pipelines, and oil pump stations as well as other associated equipment used in oil transmission systems
• Troubleshoot equipment problems utilizing technical reference manuals and documents;

• Perform technical analysis to prepare recommendations for future action;
• Provide multi-skilled maintenance support with other technicians in the completion of pipeline and mechanical activities; and
• Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED)
• Trades experience would be an asset

• The successful candidate may be required to complete pre-employment medical and drug testing
• Utilize computers and e-mail for internal and external communication, record keeping, on-line reporting, material and supply ordering, and filing of various forms
• May require extended workdays and/or workweeks including overnights stays away from home location.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license

• Must have a proven safe driving record and provide documentation of past traffic violations upon request
• Exhibit a safety mindset, in a professional and personal setting
• Enrollment at an accredited university/ technical trade college, and returning to school for at least one semester following your work term
• Must exhibit the TC Energy corporate values and incorporate them into work activities and initiatives: safety, responsibility, integrity, innovation, and collaboration
• Ability to handle sensitive or confidential material

• Legally entitled to work in U.S. by way of United States citizenship, permanent residency or a valid work permit

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical, Instrumentation and/or Controls Technician Program or a Polytechnic program with a focus in a relevant field.
• Previous gas / oil / liquid expertise and experience will be considered a strong asset

• Strong interpersonal and communicative skills to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment
• Committed to building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to accurately analyze information and deal with ambiguity
• Experience working in a dynamic and challenging environment, and adaptable to changing priorities
• Ability to multi-task effectively, with strong organizational and time management skills

• Reflective and committed to continuous improvement and personal development
