You will be assigned to Quality Engineering, Quality Control Engineering, or Supplier Quality Engineering depending upon our needs. You will develop and implement product design improvements using manufacturing and/or A&T capability data. You will assess and develop main characteristics/processes for each product line model. You will be a primary motivator and contributor to identify and initiate action to control and reduce variation into the design, manufacturing or A&T process. You will report to the Manager, Quality Assurance and will have an onsite work schedule in East Aurora, New York. To be considered for Project Quality Engineer, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, and five years of experience with demonstrated knowledge of applied statistics and a depth of understanding achieved through experience in the design, manufacturing and assembly of complex electrohydraulic, electromechanical, or electropneumatic servomechanisms or related experience.
As a Project Quality Engineer, you will:
  • Develop process capability studies and gauge capability studies for the development and implementation of statistical process control plans. Champion modification of design and process requirements through interaction with Quality, Design, Product and Manufacturing engineering personnel. Provide an assessment of key characteristics and key processes for product line models.
  • Perform technical tasks such as product improvement studies and participate on Design-To-Cost teams.
  • Use analysis techniques such as SPC, complex statistics, capability studies, regression analysis and design of experiments will be required.
  • Train and educate functional groups in statistical concepts.
  • Establish and monitor Quality engineering project budgets and schedules
  • Validate design problems solutions by performing capability studies and analyses.
  • Document statistical analyses of design and test results with accurate and concise reports.
  • Consult on new product design development efforts.
  • Assist in interviewing, training, and counseling subordinate Quality Engineers.
  • When applicable supervise subordinate Quality engineers and technicians.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $110,000.00-$130,000.00 Annually

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
