Job Overview:

The Regional Director is responsible for supervising all operational staff of a program area (Child Safety, Child Programs, Juvenile Justice) in the assigned geographic region. This role oversees between 3-8 Team Coordinators and their respective teams in the performance of case management work for children under the State's supervision, in State custody, or at risk of State custody, and their families.

The Regional Director oversees all regional case management services within their assigned region and ensures all guidelines and operations are adhered to and implemented consistently by all case management teams. The Regional Director will collaborate and support the Executive Director of Field Operations in ensuring all guidelines and operations are adhered to and implemented consistently across the assigned region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct all functions of program area (Child Safety, Child Programs, Juvenile Justice) within the assigned geographical region
  • Support the Executive Director in developing and implementing long-term goals for assigned geographical region.
  • Supervises the operations of front-line and administrative staff within the assigned geographical region.
  • Ensure the consistent application of case management policies and practices across assigned region.
  • Ensure all case management files and TFACTS/CCWIS comply with all State and Federal regulations.
  • Partner with Juvenile Justice and Statewide Services service units to help ensure collaboration between regional case management teams and programmatic service teams.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners and courts within assigned geographical region.
  • Reviews regional data and reports from multiple sources to recognize and track trends in the child welfare and juvenile justice system.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in a social services field.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of professional work experience in social services or child welfare.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a social services field
  • Ability to develop and implement a clear, flexible vision to promote permanency
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and direct effectively
