Summer 2025 - Transportation Intern (High School Student)

TV is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated High School Transportation Intern to join our Transportation team. This internship is designed to introduce high school students (ages 16-18) to the transportation and engineering industry, offering hands-on experience while working alongside professionals in the field. This is a part-time, office-based internship with flexible scheduling. Candidates must have parental or guardian consent and be legally eligible to work under applicable labor laws. Responsibilities:
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining project files, drawings, and reports.
  • Support data entry, printing, and scanning of project-related documents.
  • Learn about transportation infrastructure projects, including public transit, pedestrian/bicycle facilities, and roadways.
  • Shadow engineers and designers to gain exposure to industry practices.
  • Assist with basic tasks in software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Help prepare presentation materials and project documentation.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 16 years old and eligible to work under local labor laws.
  • Currently enrolled in high school with an interest in engineering, transportation, or construction.
  • Parental or guardian consent for employment and participation in the program.
  • Ability to commit to 24 hours a week for 6 weeks stating May 2025.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Interest in civil engineering, transportation, or infrastructure design.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
This internship provides early exposure to the transportation and engineering fields, offering valuable hands-on experience and professional development opportunities for high school students considering careers in STEM and infrastructure design.

Compensation Range:

$38,927.00 - $51,903.00
